Three of the Uppermill-based public relations agency’s campaigns have made it to the short-list for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PRide Awards. The company has also made it through to the finals of the prestigious Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy award.

The three campaign awards that Pelican has been short-listed for are for work with the British Frozen Food Federation, the British Metals Recycling Association and leading goats’ milk Brand St Helen’s Farm.
Winners of the PRide Awards will be announced in November.

Pelican PR has gone into the London restaurant business.
The consultancy’s specialist food and drink team has launched the world’s first gourmet restaurant serving only frozen food as part of a campaign for client the British Frozen Food Federation.
The N-Ice ‘pop up’ restaurant, will operate in Vincent Square for one week only from 8th to the 12th August and will serve the finest gourmet cuisine prepared from frozen food, including signature dishes from acclaimed celebrity chefs including Michelin starred Atul Kochhar, Galton Blackiston and TV’s Simon Rimmer.
Brian Young, director general of BFFF said: “N-ice is one of the courageous and most exciting projects ever undertaken by the BFFF. We are going all out to prove that frozen food delivers the same quality and taste as fresh food and have deliberately been audacious in our menu choice.
Pelican has claimed a hat-trick of nominations in the Fresh Awards short list announced today (1 Feb).
The agency has been nominated for Best Consultancy Team. Its food PR team has been nominated for Best Business-to-Business campaign, whilst its recyclling PR team’s work for the British Metals Recycling Association have been nominated for and Best Public Affairs and Lobbying campaign.
Pelican’s specialist recycling PR team have been chosen to promote the UK’s biggest waste and sustainability event.
RWM in partnership with CIWM takes place at Birmingham’s NEC between 13 and 15 September. It is expected to attract over 13,000 visitors this year.
